Welcome to Blossom Circle

Back in 2006 a friend of ours Tracy had a desire to run an event to help other women. Tracy decided to invite a few friends to her house and ran an auction night to raise money for the "Girls Night In" foundation. The GNI raises money for women with breast and gynaecological cancer. For 2 years this event was held in her own home and then it outgrew her living room so the following year it was held at a local cafe, Cleveland Cafe. The event only lasted 1 year at the cafe as we had more women who wanted to come out and help Tracy raise funds for such a worthy cause. So in 2009 the event moved to the Ashwood College Performing Arts Foyer. In 2010 we are expecting 100 women to attend this event in the Ashwood College Performing Arts Centre.

"Oh What a Night.........."

On Oct 15th 110 women gathered together to help raise funds for an amazing cause. All of the money raised was donated to The Girls Night In fundraiser, which raises money for women's cancer research and support.
So how was the money raised?

We had over 36 items that were part of the Loud Auctions, over 50 Raffle items, a Mystery Box Raffle with over $200 worth of value and Silent Auctions.

So how much did we raise for such a worthwhile cause?
$7274
It was an amazing effort and way above our expectations and we are so grateful to everyone who attended on the night and contributed in so many ways.

What else happened during the night?
Our Craft for the evening was for everyone to make a bookmark to take home and use. There was lots of intense work going on through the evening and new friends made for those who find craft out of their realm!

There was lots of dancing!

and most importantly lots of great girlfriend moments!

Thank you to everyone who attended the night, donated gifts or money, helped with the setup, packup, assisted in the kitchen, collected donations, came up with the ideas for the evening and general support and encouragement for the event.
Keep checking in on the blog for further updates and see you in 2011!
Tracy, Dale, Tracey and Tiani.
